Change has always been a huge part of my life. My first big change came when I moved to Boston to attend Boston University (Go Terriers!) all the way from sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I did not know a soul in Boston nor what to really expect (cough, cough… blizzards) but I ended up falling in love with the city lifestyle and haven’t looked back.
While attending Boston University, I studied Early Childhood Education where I got to explore my passion of being around 3-5 year olds. After graduating, I taught at a preschool for about six months. I felt like something was missing and I wanted a more fast-paced, non-structured environment.
I ended up meeting with another BU grad involved in the field of HR and she described the environment I was looking for: fast paced, service oriented, and constantly communicating with people from all walks of life. As HR Coordinator, I am the first line of defense for all HR related questions. Let me tell you, you really can handle anything after dealing with parents at a private preschool who are already looking at Harvard for their 5-year-old.
I currently reside in Boston near Fenway where you can find me attending Pure Barre classes, downing a pint of Ben & Jerry’s half-baked or binge watching Netflix original shows (Stranger Things, The Crown, and OITNB to name a few).
