I first spent time at 451 Agency during my internship as a rising senior at UMass Amherst. Later that year, I graduated with degrees in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies, but decided that walking dogs would be more enjoyable than heading straight to the Hill. As much as I loved spending my days with puppies, I’m thrilled to be back at 451 Agency as the assistant to our Executive Creative Directors, Matt and Craig, and as the office receptionist!
I became interested in marketing through my enthusiasm for the fashion industry. I pride myself on my ability to predict trends, but, then again, there was a time in high school when I had tinsel (yes, that kind of tinsel) hair extensions. As my senior year came to an end, I realized I was spending a good amount of my time essentially conducting market research, creating aesthetic boards, and writing just for fun. Once I decided I would try to turn my hobby into a career, my political aspirations were put on hold indefinitely (another factor may or may not have been my favorite professor telling me that D.C. would “destroy the essence of my being,” but, I digress). I studied tactical diplomacy in the Middle East for four years, but I’m the least intimidating person I know.
I love cooking almost as much as I love eating, and have consequently had to learn to love the gym. I was a competitive Irish dancer for fifteen years and now it’s my party trick every March. I am the reigning queen of impractical footwear and tequila, though not necessarily at the same time. My happy places are Chilmark, Fenway Park, and anywhere that offers gluten free bread.
